QM EE validation Engineer VAN ID204313

As QM E/E Release engineer in terms of VAN.EA project, you need to conduct the China specific testing by following the China customer typical behavior and customer journey. End-2-end responsibility as test lead for MB carline QM EE testing e.g. validation planning, vehicle EE update/retrofitting, validation conducting, issue reporting, organizing the error discussion and generating the corresponding release report. Besides that, a strong project management is needed to handle certain business partners and project with direct impact to the market.
Main Tasks
1. Continuously develop and update QM EE release validation methodology for VAN.EA project, process and tools to meet major use cases in China market, focus on market specific usage environment, conditions and user habit, to evaluate and approve the quality and performance of Telematics/ADAS/Digital Service/Drive Systems and Comfort functions in China in accordance to strategic Projects.
2. Coordinate and conduct the QM EE release validation for VAN.EA project with R&D counterparts, HQ QM and production plants according to carline project timeline, follow the MB standards and ensure customers satisfaction in China market as a project lead from Quality side.
· Define the testing plan in accordance with project milestones
· Ensure the testing vehicle retrofit to target SW and HW according to the target date and content. Support retrofit trouble shooting together with workshop and BTVs.
· Organize the QM EE release testing event as Project lead from Quality side
· Conduct QM EE release testing covering Telematics/ADAS/Digital Service/Drive Systems and Comfort and create tickets to documents the testing findings.
· Generate testing summary report and make the transparency to management level.
3. Communicate and collaborate with project relevant PLQT domains, PLQ MBOS, PLQ Vehicle, carline SPL and all relevant steering committees to establish the full transparency of the project status and decision within the team.
4. Participate the technical discussion of new features and critical issue resolution procedure. Strength the information flow in terms of the new feature rollout plan and the critical issue resolution status in different management hierarchy.
5. Contribute to team common tasks, including vehicle technical preparation, vehicle management, test plan preparation etc.

Qualifications
Education
- Master of automotive engineering, computer science, vehicle engineering or automotive electronic etc..
Experience
- Min. 3 years working experience in OEM or supplier for Infotainment/ Telematics and OTA or other E/E in the area of development or validation.
- Passion to work with cars and Infotainment/ Telematics and OTA products.
- Strong quality sense, always seek for continuous improvement. Vigilant of issue detection and prudent in root cause analysis.
- Broad knowledge about vehicle product and automotive industry. Solid knowledge of vehicle EE architecture, Infotainment/ Telematics systems and OTA update about automotive industry.
- Advanced MS Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Excellent driving skills (Chinese driving license is mandatory)
- Team spirit. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel inside China and abroad on test drives
- Fluent in English, German is plus.
