Duties & Responsibilities
Test Related Cost Reduction – 25%
●Test bench compatibility expansion to cover various products for test capacity optimization.
●Propose, experiment and implement new approaches for testing solutions to save equipment CapEx.
●Collaborating with design and product engineers, to optimize test parameters and test steps, finally achieving test time reduction.
●Support Production line and PEs to develop intelligent e-kanban and other tools to reduce cost.
●Support Mechanical/Automation Engineer to develop automation test/inspection equipment by using AI or machine learning techniques.
Develop and Optimize Test Program for Mass Production Products – 25%
●Participating in Mfg. test flow definition, assessing the production line test capability gap against test requirements.
●Follow up with R&D/NPI test to verify test platform (Hardware & Software) update and monitor implementation effectiveness, including test capability, efficiency, throughput etc.
●Develop/Optimize test programs with support from R&D.
●Work with PE on Test related Product failure troubleshooting.
●Develop analysis tools/GUI to facilitate the prompt resolution of test abnormalities.
Test Bench Setup, Verification and Robustness Maintenance, – 20%
●Verify in-house developed test solutions or commercial equipment from hardware setup to function completeness. Release qualified and robust test benches to production line timely.
●Life Management for test interface boards, test fixtures and auxiliaries.
●Generate/update test instruction and train technicians and operators based on it.
Product Test related Exception Handling and Root Cause Analysis – 20%
●Debug recipe and code to find out root cause of failures. Experienced in RCA (Root Cause Analysis). Find out root causes behind the failures through engineering tools like DoE analysis, Fish Bone Technique, 5Whys, 6-Sigma etc., work out Corrective and Preventive actions to prevent failure(s) from re-occurring again.
New Products Support – 10%
●Work with R&D and NPI team to develop low-cost automated test systems.
●Support NPI testing bench setup, verification and release.
●Carry out test process audit/review before PCP, to review the lessons learned for the new product.
●Support NPI/R&D by providing TE related assistants to ensure new projects can be moved to Mass Production more efficiently.
Qualification & Requirements
●Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Optics, Telecommunication, Physics, Electronics, Photonics, Mechanics, Automation or equivalent technical discipline.
Master’s degree preferred.
●3+ years of working experience in Optical communications/Electronics Manufacturing (or related) industry and above.
●Proven ability to develop automated test program for fiber communication sub-module, linecard.
●Experience in C#, Python, SQL DB, networked PC based computer systems (Windows, Linux).
●Experience in EDFA, ILS (System Product), Test related yield improvement and Cost Reduction.
●Capacity of Leading Complicated Product Test Failure Root Cause Analysis.
●Capacity of Project Management, to track project progress and alter gating items required help.
●Good command of English communication, listening, speaking, reading and writing. Good spoken English preferred.
●Capacity of optical test theory to infer hypothesis based on experiments phenomenon and data.
●Capacity of understanding and operating quality analysis tools, such as Minitab to run Design of Experiments (DoE), Pareto yield analysis and SPC monitor etc.
