Supply Chain Manager - Components and Systems for Railway Trains
The company
Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), S.A. (www.caf.net), with headquarters in Spain, is one of the international market leaders in the design, manufacture, maintenance and supply of equipment and components for railway systems.
Product range: From complete transportation systems (High Speed, Locomotives, Regional trains, Commuter trains / Electric Motorcars, Metro Units Trains and Streetcars and light rail trains) and turnkey solutions, to custom-made parts and components.
Services: Maintenance, upgrading and overhaul of vehicles and components, after sales technical assistance, operation of administrative concessions, and financing.
The project in China
CAF has the following goals in China:
· Control the ongoing purchasing projects that the company has all over China, including material, elements and systems to be used in the manufacturing of trains.
· Develop the suppliers market around the country.
· Have local presence in China, a country with a strong developing railway industry, in order to take advantage of the opportunities that will be created.
Position:
Supply Chain Manager (English speaking) - Components and Systems for Railway Trains
Responsibilities:
- Strive for operational excellence in order handling process together with SCM team in HQ on Order Planning and Delivery Follow-up, to ensure supplier’s excellent OTIF indicator.
- Collaborate with Division Supply Chain, Plant production, Engineering, QA, etc. to optimize production capacity and supply chain materials utilization.
- Works with Logistics, Operation, and Transportation Groups to ensure that material deliveries are optimized (time, quality, and cost).
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes supply management performance metrics against objectives including on-time delivery, and lead-time. Communicates results and works with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensures compliance on the Global Buying Policy.
Profile:
· Chinese person. Perfect written and spoken English.
· At least 2 years of experience of Supply Chain role in foreign companies, preferable in railway or automobile sector.
· High skill with computers. Some experience as a user of any ERP would be desirable.
· Technical background or experience would be a plus.
