Principal Responsibilities:
Mainly support pre-sales technical product marketing support for the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with complex products, such as operating systems and capital equipment. May support post-sales technical inquiries as well.
Makes technical presentations regarding company Motion Control products
Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications
Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications to service personnel, company sales representatives, and customer’s employees
Required Skills:
Requires a Bachelor of Science in Automation, Electronics Engineering , Physics degree or equivalent experience and a strong technical knowledge of company products
Responsibility:
1. Provide technical support during sales process.
* Conduct conversation with customer, implement application selling, effectively collect customer application information, technical requirement, main challenge/pain point, timeline, needs, budget information.
* Own the technical portion of opportunity, proactively follow up status and action plan, drive opportunity to move forward. Keep close team work with sales, keep efficient information exchange with salespeople and align action plan.
* Be clear about current opportunity status, next action plans of the responsible opportunities. Prioritize work, plan own time and resource, focus with priority.
* Work with BU to create technical solution to meet application requirements, present to customer with value selling.
* Proactively support field demo qualification and sample test in MKS Lab. Follow the established work processes. Maintain records.
* Conduct Win/Loss analysis together with FSE.
2. Keep learning of focused market and application segments, study current market status and competition, monitor technical trends, provide technical insight for local sales to develop proper sales strategy.
* Study selected market segments or applications to build up systematic knowledge to support effective business development, generate market study report.
* Work with sales on development and penetration of green/white customer lists.
* Keep updating the knowledge of assigned market segments, monitor the industry status and progress, by customer visit, industrial conference and seminar, public news.
Competence Requirements:
1. Solid knowledge in Motion Control and Automation. Deep understanding of high precision motion mechanics and automation control concept.
2. Well demonstrated working experience in technical support and customer engagement.
3. Strong communication skill in cross function collaboration, strong skill in product/solution presentation, customer negotiation, value selling.
4. Fluent in English reading/writing/speaking/reporting.
5. Self-motivated. Be accountable in the responsibility assigned. Proactive working attitude. Self-driven in searching for effective manner to move work forward.
